Description

PJ's Auto World is pleased to offer this 1967 Plymouth GTX Hardtop for Sale. This '67 GTX is simply a head turner in bright red metallic with a contrasting black interior, hi gloss chrome and brilliant moldings. It's powered by a 440 Cu In V8 factory rated at 375 hp and is mated to a 4 speed manual transmission putting the power through to the famous Dana 60 Rear End. The 440 engine has a Holley Street Eliminator aluminum intake with Edelbrock Carb, MSD Ignition, billet pulleys and the traditional factory styled header influenced exhaust manifolds. The car is equipped with power disc brakes, power steering and a Vintage air conditioning system. A Wizard Cooling aluminum radiator with twin electric fans keeps the engine cool. This all sits in a highly detailed, color keyed engine bay. The interior is both functional and appealing to the driver and will surprise many with it's comfort. The driver will see the usual gauges but looking back will also see a 150 MPH Speedometer which will certainly capture their attention. This GTX is straight with great margins, clear glass and rolls on a set of the previously mentioned Magum 500's with BF Goodrich raised white letter radials. Front 225/60R 15's while the rear puts the power to the ground through 275/60R 15's. One of the FINEST "B" Body Mopars we have seen come through our showroom! Amazing to look at and even more of a blast to cruise! Mopar Collectors and Enthusiasts, don't miss this exceptional ride!

The Muscle Car Era was in full swing by 1967, and there were a variety of Makes and Models offered by the "Big Three." But to many, it became a cost having the "Pony Car or Mid Size car with their big engines." It was simply put, they looked cheap, they performed well, but many had bench seats and rubber floor mats. There was none of the chrome and moldings found on those cars of the early 60's. Chrysler with it's Plymouth Division decided it was time for a change, and in 1967, they introduced the GTX! Here was a car that came out of the factory with a 440 Cu In V8 as a standard engine and offered a Hemi Engine option. Plymouth was determined to swing the Muscle Car Buyers their way with the standard big block performance but didn't cut corners on the interior or exterior. The exterior saw the introduction of the twin scooped hood with a stripe package to complement them. Additional high gloss moldings, a tail panel, chromed taillights, and a Pit Stop gas cap were added to dress up the car. The interior saw upgrades as well with chrome accents and comfortable wide embroidered bucket seats along with looped carpet. The car rolled on a set of Magum 500's from the factory to further enhance the exterior.
